The AGI do not offer accreditation, instead we support the CGeog(GIS) accreditation provided by the RGS-IBG.
We do however, offer the following;
- CPD opportunities that support progression to CGeog(GIS). This includes professionally relevant events but also opportunities for members to join one of our groups such as Early Careers Network, our National Groups, AGI Council or our GeoCom working group.
- Resources for AGI members to manage and record their CPD activities. See Continual Professional Development
- Members can register to enrol on our CPD programme. Under this scheme members can send us their CGeog CPD record each year for review. (*Free Network Members do not qualify for this benefit)
The outcome of the review will be either confirmation that the CPD is sufficient or feedback on areas for improvement. By doing this, members receive the benefit of AGI guidance in preparing for CGeog.
