What’s happening at this meetup?
This meetup will focus on geospatial data, with speakers from UK government departments who are producing geospatial data and using it.
Confirmed speakers so far:
Apollo Gerolymbos, Head of Data and Analytics, National Fire Chiefs Council will be sharing his experience of using government place-based data to improve insight and predictive analytics within the Fire Service.
Alistair Calder, Head of Geospatial for the Office for National Statistics will be talking about ONS’ experience of using geospatial data and developing geospatial data services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Charley Glynn, Matt Ricketts and John Hoopes, Ordnance Survey, will be talking about the newly launched Public Sector Geospatial Agreement, providing new access to OS data to the public sector via a suite of APIs. They will also talk about how to make the best use of the APIs.
